Yes...I post daily about D3 WBB (games to be watching that day, notes on previous day's games, Top 25 analysis, etc.). Appreciate you following along! DeSales is likely in for me this week with the win over Messiah. They've been a team I've been watching, but I had opted to leave them out to watch them tonight and see how they played before inserting them into my ballot. Very impressive win tonight.
You might want to have a look at McMurry ... yes, McMurry. The team that won 5 games combined the last two seasons has already won as many this year against no losses. You can see why McM removed the interim tag from coach Long even before they showed this unexpected improvement, and they're doing it the old-fashioned way from within rather than with a bunch of transfers (at least among the top five or six scorers so far this season). They certainly weren't on my radar until I stumbled across them looking at the ASC standings; wins against TLU and Southwestern are probably their best results so far.
Thanks Ron. I took your advice and looked at McMurry. A much different team than last year for sure. 5-0! We'll see how they fair in ASC play, but that is impressive. Long seems to have them on the right track. When I saw them play in Belton, they struggled greatly. This year, things may be different. Interesting note that he had never coached a women's team prior to last year. Have talked with a few head coaches who have made the switch from coaching on the men's side to the women's side at the college level. Not a big difference, but there are some differences in schemes and things. Plus, he took over on Aug. 5 of last year. This is his first recruiting class, and it looks like a great group of players who will be able to take McMurry into the SCAC transition in a couple years, when they are juniors and seniors.
Great web site. Maybe DeSales (after tonight) gets on your radar for your next ballot.

Good stuff as always, Riley - thanks.
