First Regional Rankings are out!

Keep in mind these are unranked regional rankings, listed in alphabetical order!

The first edition of regional rankings for the 2023-24 season are out now! They were published just minutes ago, and as a reminder, are put in alphabetical order, not numerical order.

That will change next week, but for now, we have the set of teams that the committee had in the rankings, just not an official order for those teams. Regardless, these prove impactful considering the fact that these seven teams in each region will constitute the “results vs regionally-ranked opponents” numbers that become awfully important moving forward in the regional ranking process. In other words, if your team has played one of the teams included in this edition of the regional rankings, your team now has a result vs a regionally-ranked opponent. I can’t overemphasize the important of this factor, and many of these v/RROs come in non-conference play. So programs that played a stronger non-conference slate are typically more likely to benefit.
